This is the day/night dimmer switch....known to beeeeeemer owners as the clown nose. If you use our mount, you will have to use both hands, actually both index fingers to move it. Because the radar detector sits directly below this, you can no longer just use one hand to turn it on as there is not enough room for your hand. If you are uncomfortable doing it this way, then DO NOT order our mount. Sorry there is no way around this as it would drop the detector down too far. If you have an auto dimming mirror, this is NOT a problem.

This Mount is for Mirrors on Cars like the mirror shown above. There MUST be a space that is 1/2 inch between the shield piece and the mirror or it will not fit. And your mirror stem, (that little tiny section above) is no larger than 5/8 inch in diameter.

This mount measures 2.5 inches from top to bottom.

Fully machine made from aero space quality 6061 T-6 aluminum.

Not only do you get better coverage with a higher position in your car, but you also get the safety advantage of not having your radar detector fly through the air incase of an accident.

How to Order

1. Have you read the above information first?

2. Have you measured the mirror stem in your car?

You MUST do this, no matter what make or model you have because there are different mirror types and we do not know them all.

3. You can figure your size by measuring around your stem with a string that does not stretch, a strip of paper, or a flexible tape measure, and then measure the length of that string/paper on a ruler, and divide by 3.14. This will give you your diameter. Or you can use a caliper or open end box wrench that fits around the stem. This will automatically give you the diameter.

4. You must have a 5/8 Diameter round Mirror Post that connects to the center back of your mirror so that the mount can swing freely from it.

Please be advised. If you are short and need to sit close to the steering wheel, this mount may not work for you, as you will not be able to adjust the mirror downward that much.
